I saw this piece in the Art21 series, episode called memory. It is a collection of reflective objects placed in a reflective box. The viewer sees into the box via a two-way mirror. I think what has always attracted me about artists is that they are all so different from each other compared to other cultures such as politics, or sciences. Great art simply offers a new way of thinking. A new reflection of life.

Beautiful.

I like how you describe art as a different way of thinking.

I recently read an article on neuroscience & improvisational music in which a team of researchers discovered through the use of fMRI's and other such gadgets on musicians while improvising that the musicians were actually shutting down parts of their brain in order to improvise. I really liked the idea of "not thinking" as a differnt method of thinking.
